Technical Writer Command and Control SME

Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Writer / Command and Control SME (1099 Contractor).

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and refine technical documentation outlining C2 functions, operational workflows, and modernization strategies
• Provide subject matter expertise on MAGTF command and control operations and regional campaign planning
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce accurate and impactful technical narratives

Required Qualifications

• Former USMC O-5/O-6 or equivalent senior-level military experience with recent operational background, preferably in the Pacific
• Experience supporting or operating within a MAGTF Combat Operations Center within the last two years
• Demonstrated understanding of modern Marine Corps C2 systems and joint operational planning
• Familiarity with current force posture efforts and multi-domain operations
• Strong technical writing skills suitable for both technical and non-technical audiences
