Job Summary
Supporting federal and contractor teams within a large program management office, the full-time Technical Writer-Editor will provide technical writing, editing, and document management for a law enforcement organization focused on border security technology and operations, working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Provide technical writing and editing support for documents related to border security technology and operations
- Develop content for reports, briefings, and presentations tailored to stakeholder needs while adhering to agency style guides
- Manage documentation workflows and collaborate with authors and subject matter experts to ensure clarity and compliance with agency standards
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in English, Management, or a related field; 3-10 years of relevant experience
- Proven technical editing and writing experience, including fact-checking and citation management
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365, particularly advanced skills in Word's Track Changes and document formatting
- Background in marketing, communications, business, or change management
- Ability to pass a government background investigation; U.S. citizenship required for suitability determination
