Job Summary
To support the Department of Veterans Affairs' contact center technology training initiative, the full-time remote Technical Writer/Editor will develop, edit, and maintain training content, ensuring clarity and consistency across various learning pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, write, edit, and maintain technical training content for contact center workforce learning pathways
- Collaborate with curriculum designers to translate learning objectives and SME input into effective written materials
- Transform complex technical information into clear instructions and create supporting materials such as job aids and instructor guides
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in technical writing, communications, instructional design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 3+ years of experience in developing, writing, or editing technical or instructional content
- Demonstrated ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, audience-appropriate written instructions
- Experience developing instructional materials for diverse audiences and role-based learning paths
- Working knowledge of accessibility-conscious document development and Section 508 principles
