Technical Writer (Federal ATO)
Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Technical Writer (Federal ATO) will develop, maintain, and update technical documentation to support the Authority to Operate (ATO) process and ongoing operations of the FSA IAM systems.
Key responsibilities
- Create and revise content for IAM websites and applications, ensuring compliance with the FSA Style Guide and Section 508 accessibility standards
- Prepare various documentation including system security plans, configuration management records, and project-related artifacts for ATO packages and FISMA compliance
- Collaborate with technical teams and stakeholders to manage multiple documents and ensure timely delivery of required materials
Required qualifications
- Associate's Degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in technical writing, particularly for federal ATO, FISMA, or RMF processes
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, SharePoint, and documentation repositories
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility requirements
- Familiarity with Agile project documentation and change management
