Job Summary
Supporting the Defense Health Agency (DHA) Facilities Enterprise, the full-time fully remote Technical Writer for DoD Programs will develop, edit, and manage technical publications related to military healthcare facilities and engineering programs while ensuring compliance with DoD standards.
Key responsibilities
- Develop, edit, and finalize technical and administrative publications, transforming complex information into user-friendly documentation
- Conduct detailed technical editing and quality reviews to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance with DHA and DoD standards
- Research federal regulations and policies to support publication development for facilities engineering and healthcare facility programs
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Communications, Journalism, Public Administration, or a related discipline
- Minimum 3 years of technical writing experience supporting DoD, DHA, or related federal government programs
- Experience developing technical publications, manuals, policies, and executive communications
- Advanced Microsoft Word skills, including document formatting and template development
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Tier 1 / NACI background investigation
