Technical Writer for Software/API

Job Summary

Transforming complex technical concepts into accessible documentation, the contract Technical Writer for Software/API projects will develop SOPs, FAQs, How-Tos, and Systems Architectural Diagrams while working remotely for a duration of 6 months or more.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical design documents, system architecture overviews, and support documentation aligned with product roadmaps
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure technical accuracy and alignment in documentation
• Maintain a structured documentation library with version control and consistency across all technical materials

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of recent experience in technical writing or documentation roles
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience
• Experience documenting software-related projects, including API initiatives
• Understanding of systems integration concepts, including APIs and cloud infrastructure architectures
• Proficiency with documentation and diagramming tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Visio
