Technical Writer III
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Writer III will develop operations and maintenance manuals, collaborate with subject matter experts to gather documentation requirements, and host review conferences to enhance documentation quality.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including operations and maintenance manuals, utilizing engineering drawings and CAD models
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather insights and feedback for documentation improvements
- Host internal and external review conferences to solicit and incorporate feedback into documentation revisions
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
- Advanced knowledge of technical writing principles, practices, and standards
- Proficiency in desktop publishing tools, particularly Microsoft Word and Adobe publishing tools
- Experience working in multi-disciplinary design and development teams
- Familiarity with S1000D and XML standards
