Job Summary

A company is looking for a Technical Writer / Documentation Specialist to support the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop, edit, and maintain technical documentation including SOPs, runbooks, and system security plans
  • Document cybersecurity processes and create documentation supporting federal compliance requirements
  • Collaborate with technical teams to gather information and ensure consistency and accuracy of documentation
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, English, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3-7+ years of experience in technical writing or documentation support in IT or cybersecurity environments
  • Experience supporting enterprise environments of similar scale and complexity
  • Required role-appropriate certifications demonstrating competency in technical writing, IT, or cybersecurity
  • Preferred certifications include CompTIA Security+, Certified Professional Technical Communicator (CPTC), and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
