Technical Writer & Specifications Analyst
Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Technical Writer & Specifications Analyst will manage technical business analysis, gather requirements, and create high-quality API specification documentation for healthcare integration services.
Key responsibilities
- Analyze and document technical requirements for interoperability services, collaborating with technical and product teams
- Create and maintain comprehensive API specification documentation, including schemas and error codes, specifically for orders and results services
- Perform detailed data mapping and clinical data flow analysis, validating technical specifications through API testing
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in technical writing, business systems analysis, or integration analysis, with a focus on documenting APIs or clinical integrations
- 3+ years of experience in healthcare interoperability, particularly with electronic health records (EHRs) and clinical data exchange
- Hands-on experience mapping HL7 standards for orders and results, along with knowledge of FHIR profiling
- Experience utilizing modern API documentation standards and tools, such as OpenAPI/Swagger and Postman
- Familiarity with "Docs-as-Code" workflows and version control systems like Git or GitHub
