Technical Writer Trainer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time Trainer/Technical Writer to develop and deliver training and documentation for geospatial systems and workflows, working remotely to translate complex GIS concepts into user-friendly materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver instructor-led, virtual, and hands-on training for GIS applications and workflows
- Create user guides, standard operating procedures, and technical manuals tailored to various user roles
- Conduct training-needs assessments and collaborate with technical teams to ensure documentation accuracy
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Technical Communication, Education, GIS, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in technical writing, training, or instructional design, with at least 3 years in GIS-related documentation
- Strong knowledge of the Esri platform, including ArcGIS applications
- Experience developing training materials for diverse technical backgrounds and skill levels
- Familiarity with Agile development environments and document version control practices
