Technical Writer with Public Trust

Job Summary

To support the Federal Aviation Administration, the full-time remote Technical Writer with Public Trust will provide editing expertise for policy and guidance documents, manage document projects, and ensure compliance with established standards.

Key responsibilities

• Support the revision and creation of policy and guidance documents for the Flight Standards Service
• Perform detailed editing reviews and verify the accuracy of references and aviation terminology
• Coordinate document submissions and maintain records of production steps and communications

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and publishing tools such as Adobe Acrobat
• Experience with 508 compliance
• Strong research and electronic organization skills
• Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability
