Technical Writer with Secret Clearance

Job Summary

Supporting a high-impact DOD program, the remote Technical Writer with Secret Clearance will develop and maintain critical technical documentation related to cybersecurity and Zero Trust initiatives, ensuring compliance with DoD standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain technical documentation, including policies, standard operating procedures, and system guides
• Author and manage Technical Orders (TOs / TCTOs), TSIPs, and Installation Plans (I-Plans)
• Collaborate with engineering and cybersecurity stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure documentation alignment

Required qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in technical writing within IT or cybersecurity environments
• Experience developing Technical Orders (TOs / TCTOs), TSIPs, or Installation Plans (I-Plans)
• Strong understanding of DoD documentation standards and compliance requirements
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
• Active Secret clearance (interim eligible)
