Job Summary
Supporting a high visibility U.S. Coast Guard prototype initiative, the full-time Technical Writer with Secret Clearance will develop and maintain technical documentation, ensuring accessibility for both technical and non-technical stakeholders in a fully remote role.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop, organize, and maintain all technical documentation throughout the prototype lifecycle
- Document system architecture, design decisions, deployment procedures, and testing results
- Translate complex technical inputs into concise, actionable documentation for diverse audiences
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent professional experience
- 5-8 years of experience in technical writing within a technical, engineering, or federal environment
- Proven experience developing and editing user manuals, SOPs, and system documentation
- Strong ability to translate technical concepts into clear, structured documentation
- Active Secret Clearance
