Technical Writing Team Lead

Job Summary

Leading a team of technical writers in a remote capacity, the full-time Technical Writing Team Lead will oversee the QMS Standardization program, ensuring the creation of consistent and compliant global QMS documents while also engaging in hands-on technical writing tasks.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of technical writers, coordinating work based on project priorities and timelines
• Transform draft content from Global Process Owners into polished QMS documents, ensuring compliance with style guides
• Manage incoming work requests and maintain document status across the Technical Writing SharePoint site

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Life Sciences, Quality, or a related field
• 5+ years of technical writing experience in a regulated medical device, pharmaceutical, or life sciences environment
• Experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) documentation, including SOPs and Work Instructions
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, SharePoint, and PLM systems
• Demonstrated ability to lead or mentor a team of writers
