Telecom Compliance Counsel

Job Summary

Supporting a fast-growing AI-native customer service platform, the part-time Telecom Compliance Counsel will address compliance, contractual, and privacy issues related to a newly launched voice channel, working remotely on an as-needed engagement basis.

Key responsibilities

• Draft and review Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policy for the voice channel
• Advise on subprocessor integration and necessary updates to the company's privacy policy
• Analyze number portability obligations and provide guidance on GDPR and TCPA compliance

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in telecom, VoIP, or communications law
• Familiarity with FCC regulation, TCPA, and carrier/platform compliance
• Knowledge of GDPR and cross-border data privacy issues related to call recordings
• Experience with drafting Terms & Conditions and Acceptable Use Policies for communications platforms
• Active bar admission in good standing in any U.S. jurisdiction; J.D. from an accredited law school
