Telecommunications Engineer

Job Summary

To support utility infrastructure projects, the remote Electrical Engineer will focus on telecommunications systems engineering, including RF networks and SCADA communications, while working on the Field Area Network Asset Replacement Program over a 12-month contract.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain RF communication systems and field communications infrastructure
• Provide technical support for deployment projects and assist in the ongoing maintenance of in-service assets
• Maintain network documentation and manage communications requests within the company's document management platform

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate's degree in Networking, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field
• 3-6 years of experience in telecommunications or communications systems engineering
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Basic knowledge of common test equipment such as DMMs and spectrum analyzers
• Experience with circuit engineering design and infrastructure support for data transport
