Telecommunications Engineer

Job Summary

Seeking a skilled Telecommunications Engineer for a remote contract position, who will manage the design and installation of equipment for transmitting broadband data over in-building networks, requiring 5-7 years of hands-on experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Design and install equipment for broadband data transmission in in-building networks
• Coordinate the installation of new in-building networks and evaluate multi-tenant buildings for network compatibility
• Manage large build projects involving broadband services and produce technical as-built documentation

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent field experience
• General knowledge of in-building network architectures and hazard identification
• Hands-on experience with coax, twisted pair copper, and fiber optic cabling
• Ability to transport tools and equipment using a personal vehicle
• Experience working off ladders and drilling in multiple dwelling/commercial buildings
