Telecommunications Specialist

Job Summary

Responsible for accurate and timely plant record updates, the full-time Telecommunications Specialist will organize and coordinate plant and device cutovers while working remotely across multiple states.

Key responsibilities

• Build and update computer-based records of outside plant and switching equipment, ensuring high accuracy and integrity
• Interpret maps, staking sheets, and cut sheets, collaborating with engineering and field service teams to facilitate timely data creation
• Provide support to various teams including OSP Records, Engineering, and Service Activation, while assisting with project work and report generation

Required qualifications

• Associates degree (or higher) -OR- 2+ years of professional work experience
• Understanding of telecommunications industry standards and practices
• Knowledge of Outside Plant standards and network devices
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents such as maps and cut sheets
• Proficiency in relevant software applications including MS Office and CAD-based programs
