Job Summary
An online education company is filling a position for a Telecommute 6th Through 8th Grade Art Teacher.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Taking ownership for students’ academic progress and attendance
- Preparing students for high stakes standardized tests
- Conducting live synchronous teaching – minimum of 15 hours per week
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to travel (on average once per month and/or approximately 10% of the time)
- Bachelor's degree and Six (6) months of student teaching experience
- Meet requirements for Highly Qualified Teacher in subject area under No Child Left Behind
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word; PowerPoint
- Ability to rapidly learn and adapt to new technologies and teaching platforms
- Pedagogical knowledge of content being taught and ability to apply critical thinking
