Job Summary
A publishing company has a current position open for a Telecommute Academic Production Editor.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Oversee the production process for course packs from the receipt of materials to successful submission to the printer
- Be responsible for the production quality of final completed materials, prioritize workflow and manage multiple projects for deadlines
- Oversee the production process for online learning activities from the receipt of materials to successful upload to the online portal
Qualifications for this position include:
- Superb attention to detail, and take notice of small errors in PDF proofs and complete precise processes
- Problem-solving skills, and encounter diverse issues and figure out how to work through them creatively
- High technical adeptness, and a strong familiarity with Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal), including the ability to present information clearly one-on-one and in group settings
- Ability to work well under pressure in an environment of rapidly changing deadlines and priorities and to meet or exceed deadlines
