Job Summary
A molecular genetics laboratory is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Accessioning Genetic Counselor.
Must be able to:
- Ensure testing ordered by client is the most appropriate for patient
- Apply a working knowledge of diagnostic criteria and national testing guidelines
- Update test statuses in various systems to assure testing is run as intended
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Attend and participate in continuing education conferences
- MS in Genetic Counseling from an accredited institution
- Thorough and ongoing knowledge of current theories and principles of human genetics
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willingness and ability to work in and contribute to a fast-paced, collaborative environment
