Job Summary
A technology company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Accounts Receivable Specialist.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Checking each insurance payment for accuracy, including contract-discount compliance
- Regularly reviewing accounts and prepare information for the collection agency
- Calling insurance companies to settle payment discrepancies or investigate unpaid claims
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Ability to resolve payment issues and effectively follow up with insurance companies
- Knowledge of insurance guidelines, especially those associated with Medicare and Medicaid as well as ICD-10 and CPT codes
- Critical and analytical thinking skills to help resolve billing issues and collect payments
- Be fluent in billing language and comfortable with AR software
- Two years of experience in full-cycle medical billing or schooling
- Three years of customer service experience
