Job Summary
A medical peer review company has an open position for a Telecommute Addiction Psychiatry Medical Reviewer.
Must be able to:
- Perform utilization reviews for various types of procedures and medications
- Read and analyze medical information from charts, nursing notes and clinical criteria
- Provide objective, first-level determinations
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must be certified/licensed with ABMS, AOA, or applicable (U.S.) Medical Board in Addiction Psychiatry
- Must be in Active Practice (treating patients for at least 8 hours per week)
- Must have a minimum of 5 years Active Practice experience post Medical School graduation
- Current active and unrestricted (without sanctions) Medical License
- Must type at least 30-40 words per minute – accurately
- Strong writing skills, computer literacy, including word processing, web applications and email
