Job Summary
A healthcare provider is seeking a Telecommute Ambulatory Medical Coder.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing and analyzing content of medical record to accurately assign ICD diagnosis and procedure codes
- Answering coding and abstracting questions from peers, doctors, hospital employees, etc.
- Meeting coding and productivity standards
Qualifications for this position include:
- High School Diploma/ GED Required
- 1-3 Years Experience, preferably in coding related to anesthesia, OB/GYN, ED, rheumatoloy, and hospitalist
- Certified Coding Specialist; Certified Professional Coder; Registered Health Information Administration and Information Tech
- Thorough knowledge of coding guidelines, medical terminology
- Thorough understanding of updates for coding and compliance
- Careful attention to detail and thoroughness in completing work tasks
