Job Summary

An independent specialty pharmacy has a current position open for a Telecommute Area Managed Care Director.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reaching assigned regional sales revenue on a quarterly and annual basis
• Targeting customers including managed care organizations
• Providing a leadership role in the region through training and mentoring

Qualifications Include:

• Travel to reach assigned regional sales
• Bachelor’s degree required (B.A/B.S.) from four-year college or university, or at least 8 years related work experience
• Six years of managed care negotiating experience, pharmaceutical sales or industry experience required
• Two plus years of specialty pharmacy/infusion sales or account management experience preferred
• Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures
• Effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
• Knowledgeable in comprehending customer and Diplomat financial considerations
