Job Summary
An engineering solutions company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Automotive Functional Safety Validation Engineer in Detroit.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Leading and contributing to the development of functional safety architectures for the automotive market
- Resolving architecture issues found in design and verification
- Collaborating with a variety of design services across all phases of the Development Cycle to create compliant ISO 26262 designs
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Work from home with frequent travels to Austin
- Must be an experienced architect with strong hardware, software and technical leadership skills
- Experience in conducting in-depth analysis of failure modes, error detection and error reporting functionality
- Experience analyzing existing safety mechanisms with HW/SW design teams
- Must be an expert in system functional safety with hardware designs and experience with ISO 26262
- Experience with safety analysis for IP / SOC / ECU / MCU design including the development of FMEDA analyses, FIT estimations, DFA and DIA creation
