Job Summary

A managed cloud computing company is filling a position for a Telecommute AWS Migration Engineer.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Multi-tasking in an environment of changing priorities
  • Utilizing workload migration tools to AWS
  • Helping to document best practices in developing and deploying cloud-centric solutions

Qualifications for this position include:

  • Willing to travel. Less than 10%
  • In depth knowledge of AWS products and services
  • Understanding of application server platforms used in a corporate environment and the hosting requirements these require
  • Experience working with complex customers (SMB, MM, Enterprise)
  • Knowledge of migration concepts (The 6 R's), sync mechanism (block, Image, File), Sequencing, Application grouping, Migration and replication jobs, target blueprints (VPC, Subnets, ELB's, SG, NACL's etc.)
  • Knowledge of application deployment and data migration on AWS
