Telecommute Behavioral Health Coder

Job Summary

A healthcare company is seeking a Telecommute Behavioral Health Coder.

Must be able to:

• Maintain current and relevant knowledge of coding guidelines
• Provide direct entry into proprietary software, database, or practice management system
• Review medical records for Behavioral Health payer types

Required Skills:

• Successful completion of GeBBS screening exam(s) with a passing score of 80% or greater
• Must be able to maintain 95% accuracy in ongoing quality assurance reviews
• Certification from AHIMA or AAPC
• Expertise in Physicians at Teaching Hospitals requirements and guidelines
• Communicates professionally and effectively with clients, coding staff, and GeBBS corporate staff
• Must hold at least one of the following certifications: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, COC
