Job Summary
A healthcare company is filling a position for a Telecommute Bilingual Spanish Mental Health Specialist in Long Beach.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Educating older adults and their caregivers regarding mental health issues
- Providing short-term mental health treatment to selected clients
- Providing preventative services to clients and caregivers as needed
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Travel required throughout Los Angeles and Orange County with a valid driver's license
- Proficiency in a second language required (English/Spanish)
- At least 1 year working experience working with the elderly in a home-based health or related setting in which the primary targeted population is the elderly
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Gerontology or related Field
- Knowledge of environmental concerns of the elderly
- Theoretical understanding of the developmental needs for this population and means for intervention
