Job Summary
A faith-based healthcare organization is seeking a Telecommute Bureau of Health Workforce Health Information Management Coding Specialist in Boynton Beach.
Must be able to:
- Code patient record types
- Follow all UHDDS and AHA coding guidelines
- Maintain confidentiality of protected health information
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- May work remotely from home following Coding Manager approval based on coding experience and expected standard performance
- Completion of a college level coding program specific in ICD-10 CM/PCS, and CPT coding, anatomy and physiology and medical terminology
- Completion of a National Coding exam
- Currently certified as an AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist (CCS)
- Experience with DRG validation or ASC/APC assignment
- Demonstrated understanding of ICD-10 CM/PCS, and CPT coding guidelines
