Job Summary
A healthcare company is in need of a Telecommute Cancer Data Analyst in Asheville.
Must be able to:
- Monitor all types of malignant and non-malignant tumors diagnosed or treated at company
- Manage and analyze clinical cancer information for the purpose of education, research and outcomes measurement
- Provide support for and ensuring department compliance and documentation of Cancer Program standards
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- Must have experience utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, and graphical display programs
- Successful completion of college level courses in anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, bio-statistics, epidemiology, etc
- Completion of an approved Cancer Registry Training Program
- AA degree in Cancer Data Analysis, HIM, or related field
- Minimum two years hospital experience in cancer registry, performance improvement, coding, clinical informatics, decision support, or information management
- Must be certified by the National Cancer Registrars Association as a Certified Tumor Registra
