Job Summary

A healthcare system is seeking a Telecommute CDI Specialist I in Rochester.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Understanding and applying regulatory compliance related to documentation, coding and billing
• Validating coding reflects medical necessity of services

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Must have the Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist (CCDS) or the Certified Documentation Improvement Practitioner (CDIP) certification
• Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based (CCS-P)
• Or Registered Nurse (RN), completion of international or domestic medical program or, Formal education
• Or, Associate's degree or higher
• Must also have completed coursework in medical terminology and anatomy and physiology
