Job Summary
A job board needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute CDIS Outpatient and Inpatient Medical Records Technician in Poplar Bluff.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Reviewing the overall quality and completeness of clinical documentation
- Improving documentation while the patient is still in-house
- Improving clinical staff documentation of outpatient encounters
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Citizen of the United States
- One year of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, pathophysiology, medical coding, and health records
- An associate's in health information technology/health information management, or a related degree
- Completion of an AHIMA approved coding program, or other intense coding training program
- Certification through AHIMA or AAPC, or Mastery Level Certification, or Clinical Documentation Improvement
- Grade Determinations: MRT (CDIS - Inpatient/Outpatient), GS-9
