Job Summary

A healthcare company is filling a position for a Telecommute Certified Medical Coder 4.

Must be able to:

• Act as a mentor for others
• Review and interpret medical information, physician treatment plans, courses, and outcomes
• Abstract data elements to satisfy statistical requests

Qualifications for this position include:

• A minimum of two weeks training will be on site in Pittsburgh, PA
• Licensure/ RHIA, RHIT, CPC, COC, CCSP or CCS required
• Advanced encoder and computer skills required
• Minimum 4 years inpatient coding experience and cross-trained in at least two of the following: inpatient, outpatient surgery/GI lab/bedded outpatients
• Expertise in ICD and CPT coding and reporting guidelines
• Successful completion of college-level courses in Anatomy and Physiology and Medical Terminology required
