Job Summary

An insurance company is in need of a Telecommute Certified Professional Coder.

Must be able to:

• Make coding and payment determinations based on fee schedule, CPT, AMA, Medicare guidelines, etc
• Provide summaries regarding coding decisions
• Reviews appeals for reconsideration of payment

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

• Ability to attend arbitration hearings if needed
• Minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
• CPC (Certified Professional Coder)
• 1 year prior coding experience
• Knowledge of ICD-9, ICD-10 CPT, HCPCs, and CDT codes
• Knowledge of basic software programs such as Word, Excel, etc
