Job Summary

A healthcare services company has an open position for a Telecommute Charge Audit Specialist.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Conduct reviews/audits to identify potential charging & billing issues including lost revenue opportunities
  • Work with clinical departments and other impacted departments to ensure audit findings are addressed
  • Provide training to staff engaged in billing data entry and related charge-capture/reconciliation activities

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • Ability to travel
  • Five years recent directly related work experience in a healthcare environment
  • Or completion of a recognized course of study for coding specialists and three years coding experience
  • Strong Excel/PowerPoint/Outlook Skills
  • Knowledge of audit principles and guidelines.
  • Knowledge of CPT/HCPCS codes.
