Job Summary
A risk management company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Claims Specialist in Denver.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Determine validity and compensability of the claim
- Receive claims, confirms policy coverage and acknowledgment of the claim
- Establish reserves and authorizes payments within reserving authority limits
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Ability to assist team members to develop knowledge and understanding of claims practice
- Minimum of 1 years experience handling lost time claims
- Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
- Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
- Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office including Excel spreadsheets
- Knowledge of the entire claims administration, case management and cost containment solution as applicable to Workers' Compensation
