Job Summary

A risk management company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Claims Specialist in Denver.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Determine validity and compensability of the claim
  • Receive claims, confirms policy coverage and acknowledgment of the claim
  • Establish reserves and authorizes payments within reserving authority limits

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Ability to assist team members to develop knowledge and understanding of claims practice
  • Minimum of 1 years experience handling lost time claims
  • Ability to identify, analyze and solve problems
  • Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and related experience
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize MS Office including Excel spreadsheets
  • Knowledge of the entire claims administration, case management and cost containment solution as applicable to Workers' Compensation
