Job Summary

A health insurance company is seeking a Telecommute Clinical Advocacy and Support Medical Director.

Core Responsibilities Include:

  • Conducting coverage reviews based on individual member plan benefits
  • Documenting clinical review findings
  • Engaging with requesting providers as needed in peer-to-peer discussions

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

  • M.D or D.O.
  • Board certification approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties
  • Active unrestricted license to practice medicine
  • At least five years of clinical practice experience after completing residency training
  • Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine
  • Solid PC skills, specifically using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
