Job Summary
A health insurance company is seeking a Telecommute Clinical Advocacy and Support Medical Director.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Conducting coverage reviews based on individual member plan benefits
- Documenting clinical review findings
- Engaging with requesting providers as needed in peer-to-peer discussions
Applicants must meet the following qualifications:
- M.D or D.O.
- Board certification approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties
- Active unrestricted license to practice medicine
- At least five years of clinical practice experience after completing residency training
- Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine
- Solid PC skills, specifically using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
