Job Summary

A managed healthcare and insurance company is seeking a Telecommute Clinical Advocacy and Support Medical Director.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

• Conducting coverage reviews based on individual member plan benefits
• Documenting clinical review findings
• Engaging with requesting providers as needed in peer-to-peer discussions

Required Skills:

• M.D or D.O.
• Board certified Orthopedic or Spine Surgeon approved by the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS)
• Active unrestricted license to practice medicine in TX or MN (or willing to obtain)
• Sound understanding of Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
• 5+ years of clinical practice experience after completing residency training
• Solid PC skills, specifically using MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
