Job Summary

A healthcare business and operations provider is seeking a Telecommute Clinical Documentation Improvement Liaison in Richmond.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing facility CDI and HSC MS-DRG discrepancy request reviews
  • Reporting to HSC Leadership significant coding trends identified through the CDI process
  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting coding requirements

Must meet the following requirements for consideration:

  • Minimum 3 years' health care management/leadership experience
  • Minimum 5 years' recent inpatient hospital coding experience
  • RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS
  • Ability to coordinate training and education for coders and facility-based CDI staff when trends are identified
  • Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting coding requirements
  • Ability to report to HSC Leadership significant coding trends identified through the CDI process
