Job Summary
A healthcare business and operations provider is seeking a Telecommute Clinical Documentation Improvement Liaison in Richmond.
Candidates will be responsible for the following:
- Managing facility CDI and HSC MS-DRG discrepancy request reviews
- Reporting to HSC Leadership significant coding trends identified through the CDI process
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting coding requirements
Must meet the following requirements for consideration:
- Minimum 3 years' health care management/leadership experience
- Minimum 5 years' recent inpatient hospital coding experience
- RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS
- Ability to coordinate training and education for coders and facility-based CDI staff when trends are identified
- Ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of regulatory changes impacting coding requirements
- Ability to report to HSC Leadership significant coding trends identified through the CDI process
