Job Summary

A health information management company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

  • Assessing the needs of physicians and their current practices
  • Educating physicians regarding CDI processes and technology
  • Assuring that Physician engagement is garnered by specialty specific content

Position Requirements Include:

  • Ability to travel to visit physicians onsite
  • 2-5 years of hospital-based inpatient, outpatient facility coding experience
  • Must be AHIMA/AAPC credentialed as CCS, RHIA, RHIT, COC
  • Must pass Vantage Healthcare Coding assessment
  • Must have be AHIMA ICD-10 trained or certified.
  • Must have secure dedicated home based work space with high speed internet access
