Job Summary

An IT services provider is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist in Raleigh.

Core Responsibilities of this position include:

  • Acting as a liaison between the clinical and coding functions
  • Following guidelines for coding and documentation to ensure physicians and hospital compliance
  • Completing initial review of patient records within 24-48 hours of admission

Required Skills:

  • Experience facilitating physician education or experience working directly with physicians
  • Must hold a RN License
  • Must have at least once year of CDI experience
  • Clinical Documentation Improvement Specialist/Professional
  • Individual must be proficient in ICD-10 CM & PCS, MS-DRG's and or APR-DRG's
  • Strong understanding of clinical, HIM, Quality and Case Management workflow
