Telecommute Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist

Job Summary

A business strategy and consulting services firm needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Conducting DRG reconciliation with HIM coding team and follows escalation process for non-resolved accounts
• Performing follow up reviews per facility prioritization and entering follow up review findings in CDI technology
• Conducting daily, comprehensive, concurrent review of inpatient records on assigned service lines

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Graduated from accredited School of Nursing; BSN or Bachelor’s degree in health related field and/or Masters or
• Graduated from accredited medical school with MD OR CCS Certification
• Minimum of 2 years as a Clinical Documentation Integrity Specialist
• Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Registered Nurse, MD or MD equivalent or credentialed coder with current CCS credential
• Ability to conduct daily, comprehensive, concurrent review of inpatient records on assigned service lines
