Job Summary
A privately-held health information technology company is searching for a person to fill their position for a Telecommute Clinical Risk Adjustment Coder.
Core Responsibilities of this position include:
- Reviewing medical records to determine if specific disease conditions were correctly reported based on documentation
- Following the official coding guidelines
- Ensuring project activities are in compliance with applicable coding guidelines, government and federal regulations.
Skills and Requirements Include:
- Current Coding Certification (CPC, CPC-P, CPC-H, CPC-I, CRC, CCS, RHIT, RHIA etc.) through AAPC and/or AHIMA
- Minimum of 3 years coding experience with specific knowledge of Medicare and Commercial Risk Adjustment
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment with minimal supervision and guidance
- Ability to interact with management personnel
- Possess strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities while managing a wide range of projects
