Job Summary
A technology company has an open position for a Telecommute Cloud Based Platforms DevOps Engineer.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Operating a high traffic, scalable infrastructure with no downtime through robust infrastructure and architectural design
- Designing and implementing DRS and Business continuity plans, managing release branches, and maintaining the build process
- Responding to alerts/alarms requiring immediate attention to ensure service availability/uptime
Required Skills:
- BS in Computer Science, Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of DevOps experience building and maintaining infrastructure, supporting production workload, code pipelines and configs
- Commercial experience operating high traffic 24x7 online services
- Demonstrable scripting experience for automating tasks, generating reports, and creating tools (e.g. Python, Bash, Shell)
- Experience with configuration management using Ansible, Chef and/or Puppet
- Experience deploying and managing infrastructure with the AWS stack
