Job Summary
A provider of healthcare services needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Coding CDI Liaison.
Core Responsibilities Include:
- Proactively managing facility CDI and HSC MS-DRG discrepancy request reviews (including corresponding communications, escalation paths and tracking/trending/comparison of data)
- Reporting to HSC Leadership significant coding trends identified through the CDI process
- Coordinating training and education for coders and facility-based CDI staff when trends are identified
Qualifications for this position include:
- Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
- Minimum 3 years health care management/leadership experience
- Minimum 5 years recent inpatient hospital coding experience
- RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS required
- Coding Technical Skills - regulatory coding (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, ICD-9-CM, MS-DRGs, POA Assignment) and associated reimbursement knowledge
