Telecommute Coding Integrity Specialist I in Orange Park

Job Summary

A healthcare company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Coding Integrity Specialist I in Orange Park.

Candidates will be responsible for the following:

• Reviewing and evaluating hospital outpatient medical record documentation to assign, sequence, edit and/or validate the appropriate ICD-10-CM and HCPCS/CPT codes
• Utilizing the complete medical record documentation in code assignment, validation, and/or editing of codes
• Assigning, validating, and/or editing procedure categories and modifiers

Required Skills:

• High School graduate or GED equivalent required
• 1-year acute care outpatient coding experience required
• Coding Technical skills- ICD-10-CM, HCPCS/CPT-4, and APCs
• Demonstrates proficiency in ACEP E/M level assignment, and the application of injection and infusion hierarchy
• Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required
