Job Summary
A non-profit children and family advocay is in need of a Telecommute Communications Associate.
Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Create materials for educating and engaging a broad base of stakeholders around organiaitons’s policy priorities
- Analyze data and create communications materials to advance the policy work
- Assist with policy campaigns through robust outreach strategies and work with the Communications Director to release timely communications pieces
Position Requirements Include:
- Ability to accept a part-time non-exempt position for 5-10 hours per week
- Ability to work some evenings or weekends may be necessary for community-based work
- Commitment to improving outcomes for children and youth and to advancing racial equity and equitable outcomes in education
- Ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds and communities
- Knowledge of social media and social media strategies
- Proven graphic design skills and familiarity with design programs and/or experience planning events
