Job Summary

A non-profit children and family advocay is in need of a Telecommute Communications Associate.

Individual must be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Create materials for educating and engaging a broad base of stakeholders around organiaitons’s policy priorities
  • Analyze data and create communications materials to advance the policy work
  • Assist with policy campaigns through robust outreach strategies and work with the Communications Director to release timely communications pieces

Position Requirements Include:

  • Ability to accept a part-time non-exempt position for 5-10 hours per week
  • Ability to work some evenings or weekends may be necessary for community-based work
  • Commitment to improving outcomes for children and youth and to advancing racial equity and equitable outcomes in education
  • Ability to engage people from diverse backgrounds and communities
  • Knowledge of social media and social media strategies
  • Proven graphic design skills and familiarity with design programs and/or experience planning events
