Job Summary

Breck is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented person who possesses excellent communication skills. The candidate will support marketing and communications projects, leading and implementing communications tasks. A successful candidate would have experience in providing support for procedure development, marketing campaigns, business development, daily operations, writing projects, and special projects.

This position requires someone who is naturally curious, quick to absorb information, motivated to continued improvement and learning, eager and capable to learn and collaborate on a variety of different projects for government, commercial, and non-profit clients. This position requires creative and critical thinking skills, the ability to synthesize disparate information, and the ability to effectively communicate thoughts, ideas, analysis, or questions in writing. The candidate should bring different viewpoints and ideas to projects with an interest in applying learned knowledge or experience to form practical solutions. Self-motivation is vital to working remotely and maintaining a strong work ethic to meet deadlines with limited oversight.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage social media marketing campaigns and day-to-day activities. Develop and write engaging content for social media sites to expand online presence
Provide project coordination, data management, and logistics. Maintain communication with team members and clients to stay informed on project status and issues
Provide assistance in executive support including bookkeeping, records management, data collection, meeting preparation, report generation, and other business related and organizational tasks
Manage special projects and assist in the day to day operations and administrative support needed
Support operational efficiency through creative process improvements and productivity tool integration
Conduct research for different projects at the direction of team leader including market research (competitors, brand perceptions, user personas)
Brainstorm ideas and create outlines for marketing/business collateral based on research
Identify new market opportunities for exploration and client development
Responsible for producing excellent written content for clients, including interviews, surveys, strategic marketing plans, scripts and narration, and video production deliverables.
Ability to revise and adjust content to the direction of the client and within the understanding of the material and the audience
Write compelling, persuasive copy tailored to the subject audience
Assist in coordination and production of proposal response including interpreting Federal RFP/RFQ documents and ushering responses through the drafting process

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILL
Outgoing personality with the ability to build quick, strong relationships
Entrepreneurial minded and problem-solver with an interest in delving into situations and strategizing solutions
Resourceful multi-tasker able to handle concurrent projects and willing to be involved in all aspects of small business development
Passionate and dedicated hard-worker who is goal-driven, accountable, and able to work within deadlines
Motivated to learn new skills and use new tools, conceptual thinker with strong analytic skills
Strong interpersonal communicator through both verbal and written communication
Able to receive and follow through on feedback and direction
Fluency in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Word
Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's Degree (English, communications, journalism, business, or marketing are preferred)
2-3 years of professional experience

WORK REQUIREMENTS
Remote position; candidates should be located in the Washington DC/Northern Virginia/Maryland metro area
Full-time, regular business hours
