Job Summary
A nonprofit company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Communications Director.
Must be able to:
- Develop an integrated communications plan
- Build the company's brand and overall narrative
- Develop and execute an earned media strategy
Position Requirements Include:
- Experience building a strategic communications plan for an campaigning organization
- A track record of bending the traditional media to cover campaigns, and experience offering advice on how to adapt campaigns to be more press-worthy
- A dedication to building a fairer and more sustainable global economy
- Familiar with the MoveOn/Avaaz/38 Degrees/GetUp model of rapid-response online organizing
- Fluent in written and spoken English
- Demonstrated talent in writing/creating media content, especially press statements and opinion pieces
