Job Summary

A nonprofit company needs applicants for an opening for a Telecommute Communications Director.

Must be able to:

  • Develop an integrated communications plan
  • Build the company's brand and overall narrative
  • Develop and execute an earned media strategy

Position Requirements Include:

  • Experience building a strategic communications plan for an campaigning organization
  • A track record of bending the traditional media to cover campaigns, and experience offering advice on how to adapt campaigns to be more press-worthy
  • A dedication to building a fairer and more sustainable global economy
  • Familiar with the MoveOn/Avaaz/38 Degrees/GetUp model of rapid-response online organizing
  • Fluent in written and spoken English
  • Demonstrated talent in writing/creating media content, especially press statements and opinion pieces
